AITokenCalculator is a free, browser-based token and cost calculator for AI APIs. It covers 51 models from nine providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Meta, xAI, DeepSeek, MiniMax and Moonshot — including text, image, audio and multi-turn chat workloads.

Caching discounts, batch mode and reasoning-token multipliers are all built in.
Why we built it
Every pricing page shows rates per million tokens; almost nobody thinks in those units. The questions that actually matter — "what does this feature cost per month?", "is Claude cheaper than GPT-4o for my workload?" — require math nobody wants to do in a spreadsheet. We wanted one tool that answers in seconds, without signup walls or dark patterns.
How it stays honest
- Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type ever leaves your device — no accounts, no tracking, no uploads.
- Verified pricing. Rates are checked against official provider pages on a regular cadence; every page shows its verification date.
- Transparent method. Our methodology page documents exactly how estimates are computed, including the limitations.
